Educational

Summer Camps

CAN's Educational Summer Camps are designed to prevent summer loss of learning. Each year, CAN's summer camps explore an educational theme like Ready. Set. Tech!, The Kids" Table, and more!

In the mornings, campers start the day with a snack and rotations to practice reading, writing, math, science, and geography (exploring their communities and the world beyond).

After lunch and recreation, campers dive into the thematic curriculum with project-based activities that engage the campers in scientific inquiry, sensory learning, collaboration, research and presentation, and more -- all through the lens of art & design (learn more at www.canwashtenaw.org/canartdesign).

Campers build meaningful relationships with adults who care and role model skills like executive function, teamwork, and how to use various social-emotional tools. There is also time to play outside, go to the pool, and participate in additional enrichment activities and/or field trips.
