Hikone is a voucher-based housing community with 29 family units. All residents are selected by the Ann Arbor Housing Commission to live in this neighborhood.

 

Hikone Community Center is operated by Community Action Network. Its programs & services are only for the Hikone neighborhood residents.

Educating Children & Youth

  • After-school programs that provide homework & reading support, enrichment activities, social-emotional development, snack/dinner, and more
     

  • Educational summer camps for elementary-aged campers 
     

  • A2 Expeditions, a summer program for middle school students in which they learn how to independently navigate the public bus system 
     

  • YouthWorks, a summer work and college-readiness program for high school students
     

  • School-Family Liaison Services
